Food For Change is excited to announce that thanks to your votes we have won a $5,000 grant from Sunsuper in the Dreams For A Better World Grant.

It started just over two weeks ago when we were advised that we had made the shortlist of 6 organisations who all have a dream for a better world. After two weeks of voting from the public we have made the top three and received the $5,000 grant!

The next step is for the Sunsuper judges to review all the organisations submissions and select the round 2 winner - who will get an additional $5,000! The winner then moves onto the final where four organisations will strive to win another $40,000!

Food For Change is excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Sunsuper Dreams For A Better World Health & People round for 2017 and now it’s up to the Australian public to VOTE!

​If Food For Change receives enough votes we will receive a $5,000 grant to help our dream to feed all hungry Australians.

Voting for Round Two opens 9.00am on Friday 9 June
and will close 9.00am on Monday 26 June.
Anyone based in Australia is eligible to vote.
The more votes we get, the closer we will be to receiving the $5,000!.

From here we then would progress to the Round Final, where the judges will decide the Round Winner. The Round Winner will receive another $5,000 grant towards their dream and progress to the Grand Final, where we could receive additional grants of up to $40,000!
WHY VOTE FOR FOOD FOR CHANGE?
At Food for Change, our dream is to take advantage of all the unused land in Australia to feed the 1 in 6 people who suffer from food insecurity.

Over 40,000 people each month seek food relief in Australia and get turned away by food relief agencies - 15,000 of these are children.

Currently we have one major farm site that is feeding people in Melbourne and we believe that combined with other food relief agencies across Australia we can eliminate food insecurity.

We grow and deliver fruit, vegetables and herbs to provide fresh, nutritious food for hungry Australians. 
HOW THE DREAMS FOR A BETTER WORLD GRANTS WILL HELP US
The $5,000 grant will be a huge help for Food For Change. We’ll be able to purchase more equipment for planting and harvesting along with purchasing more seeds and seedlings for future crops.

If we make it all the way to the grand final, the additional grants will allow us to expand Food For Change into other areas of Australia quicker and feed even more hungry Australians.

Food For Change is excited to announce that we have now secured our Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Status from the ACNC.

​This means that all donations over $2 in Australia to Food For Change our now tax deductible!

It marks a turning point for our charity and will help secure our future.

Shortly we will be updating our website with all the ways to donate/help Food For Change on our mission to grow and deliver food to those in need.

Welcome to the Food For Change initial fundraising campaign!

Launching on the 8th of September Food For Change is looking to raise $5000 to kick start our unique program.

UPDATE - Initial Funding Goal Achieved!

The funds will be used to cover the costs of registering the charity, setting up as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), basic office equipment (The office space has already been donated!!) and all the other small costs associated with launching a new charity!

Food For Change has selected MyCause as the donation partner and all donations are processed by them. To make a donation simply go to the MyCause website and search for Food For Change or donate via the links on our site!
