Grow Your Own? Support Change...
Food For Change is a not for profit charity run by volunteers who are passionate about our mission to alleviate food insecurity in Australia.
e are funded by grants, donations and other fundraising activities and this includes the sale of seeds on a pay what you want method.
If you grow your own veg, are a community garden, school garden or market gardener/farmer please purchase your seeds from us and help us grow more food to feed those in need.
Pay What You Want & Help Food For Change Grow
The pay what you want system is very simple. All our seeds come with three purchase options. $2 per packet, $5 per packet or $7 per packet.
Simply choose what you want to pay!
The $2 base charge covers packaging, shipping & handling costs and if you choose to pay $5 or $7 the extra amount is classed as a donation and is fully tax deductible!
The packets are twice the size of what you would purchase from other retailers and represent amazing savings!
About Our Herb & Vegetable Seeds
Our vegetable & herb seeds that we sell are what are left over after we have planted our crops and they are packaged up by our volunteers. As such we have limited variety and the seeds in stock constantly change.
The seeds themselves have come from donations of excess seeds from seed companies and would normally have gone to landfill. This means not only are we growing more food - we are rescuing seeds that would normally have been destroyed and feeding hungry Australians with them and by purchasing your seeds from us you are helping us to grow even more food!!
Seed Packets, Sizes/Quantities
Our seeds are packaged by our volunteers and come in resealable and reusable bags. The sizes vary depending on the seed purchased.
Roughly each packet contains double the amount of seed you would receive if you purchased from any other seed retailer.
Seed Growing Guides
As Food For Change is a not for profit charity we have decided not to produce any seed growing guides to keep our costs as low as possible and to ensure all funds go to our core mission of growing and rescuing food to feed those in need.
All our seeds are standard and if you need information on growing them in your region just search online!
Seed Shipping & Returns Information
Our seeds are packaged and shipped by our volunteers once a week. Please allow up to 10 working days for your seeds to arrive - depending on your location.
Currently we DO NOT send seeds to WA due to quarantine laws. If you accidentally order - we will be in touch to organise a refund!
If you are not happy with your seeds and wish to have them replaced or refunded please CONTACT US
Note: As we operate on a pay what you want system that has an option of a donation, we are only able to refund the core cost of $2 per packet - not any donated money.
